New Dawn in Climatology

Climate is changing much faster, stronger and sooner than anyone expected and it is changing in unexpected ways. It is supposed to be warming but the reality is actually cooling. Sami K. Solanki of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research announced that he believes the Sun is leaving its fifty to sixty year long grand maximum of the second half of the 20th century.  He had said previously that the Sun was more active in the second half of the 20th century than in the previous 8,000 years.  Solanki holds that a repeat of the Dalton Minimum is most likely, and that the earth is in for an unusually deep and long solar minimum.

Rising temperatures have generally
resulted in rain rather than snow.

Certainly in the northern hemisphere this winter its cold, really cold, and records for both snow and temperature are being broken almost every where suggesting that what we have been led to believe about CO2 and warming have been false, stupid and motivated by both conscious and unconscious self interest. We have just had a science at its worst event, which will be remembered in history; of that there is no doubt. The global warming hysteria was based on fraud as investigations and public admissions by principle players have been highlighting. The superstition of global warming has been shattered but we are still left with enormous problems in respect to climate change.

The World Health Organization is investigating allegations that it exaggerated the danger of Swine Flu, boosting the profits of pharmaceutical companies at the expense of public health. Similar investigations should be initiated into the entire global warming scam that had most of us worried about our blood boiling in the future due to massive temperature increases.

Global warming alarmism is collapsing rapidly but some people just don’t give up. On February 17, 2010 a New York Times editorial stated, “Disclosures of isolated errors and exaggerations in the 2007 report from the United Nations panel on climate change do not undermine its main finding: that the planet has been warming gradually for more than a century and that human activity is largely responsible.” They of course say nothing about the sun, discounting totally the overly large effect it has down here on our precious earth.

The sun is cycling through its own solar minimum phase and naturally when things calm down in terms of solar radiation things tend to cool not warm. We all know that certain kids never pay attention in their science classes and so as adults just cannot appreciate basic science. The sun is the furnace of earth. It’s the big heat of our solar system.

Scotland has suffered some of the coldest winter months in almost
100 years. It was the coldest December and January in Northern Ireland
since 1962/63 and the coldest in England and Wales since 1981/82.

The Times believes it time for us to make some tough decisions and that is true. But we are not going to get anywhere as a civilization if we try to go forward and make decisions based on unnecessary lies. In fact we are not going to get anywhere if we trust the wrong people to make crucial decisions for humanity, which are needed in many fields today. I wonder if the Times management would be able to make the tough decisions necessary to stop allowing powerful financial interests to dominate its content and purpose.

mercury dip to -26C while 17 other municipalities
across Bulgaria reported temperatures below -23C.

Thomas Friedman of the Times enjoyed making fun of our particularly snowy winter, which in his opinion does not prove “that climate change is a hoax and, therefore, we need not bother with all this girly-man stuff like renewable energy, solar panels and carbon taxes.” Between the Friedman editorial and the papers general editorial today we can see the dialogue has officially changed. There is no more talk about global warming per say its now “climate change.” Hard to argue with climate change since everyone agrees it’s changing.

Fanatics about man-made global warming want to spend trillions of
dollars based on conclusions from faulty data. As the frigid winter
days pass and the scandals mount, it becomes clear that claims of
man-made global warming aren't based on scientific methods at all.

Friedman and his friends would like us to remain very clear on what the real issue is for us humans. “What the current debate is about is whether humans — by emitting so much carbon and thickening the greenhouse-gas blanket around the earth so that it traps more heat — are now rapidly exacerbating nature’s natural warming cycles to a degree that could lead to dangerous disruptions.” Friedman seems retarded or has not read much because just this month Professor Phil Jones, who is at the centre of the “Climategate” affair, conceded that there has been no “statistically significant” rise in temperatures since 1995.

Jones, the former director of the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at Britain’s University of East Anglia, admitted to the BBC in February of 2010 not only the statistics but stated that from January 2002 to the present, the earth has been cooling and that the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) from 800 to 1300 A.D., did in fact exist; a scientifically accepted fact that Jones and other climate researchers tried to discount or hide. Advocates of global warming have recently been forced to admit fallibility. Jones admissions represent a major U-turn being called the Great Climate Change Retreat.
