Why are there so many people losing their jobs and not so much work available at this point in time when we are told that we have weathered the downturn better than most others? It cannot all be blamed on the recession, employers, service companies, and manufacturers have already factored in the cost, and implication of E.T.S. In short terms the E.T.S. is killing our local consumption and exports regardless of what our overseas consumers think, they are not concerned about food miles, carbon credits etc. they are only concerned about price. My ( National) party needs to change direction on this for the benefit of all in N.Z.
