Before retiring to a farming life I was involved in the industrial uses of ozone and other atmospheric gases. So thank goodness for the recent release of hacked emails that exposed the international fraud developing around climate change and saving the planet. It is a real shame that so many well intended people were being duped. Perhaps we can now all get back to reality.

Confident predictions of catastrophe are unwarranted.

Is there a reason to be alarmed by the prospect of global warming? Consider that the measurement used, the globally averaged temperature anomaly (GATA), is always changing. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes down, and occasionally—such as for the last dozen years or so—it does little that can be discerned.
Claims that climate change is accelerating are bizarre. There is general support for the assertion that GATA has increased about 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit since the middle of the 19th century. The quality of the data is poor, though, and because the changes are small, it is easy to nudge such data a few tenths of a degree in any direction. Several of the emails from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU) that have caused such a public ruckus dealt with how to do this so as to maximize apparent changes.

National leaders will this week launch the greatest slush fund the world has ever seen- and Prime Minister Kevin Rudd will be adding your money to the pile.
Some naive folk, who probably still don't understand that governments do not, in fact, make money of their own but merely take what has been earned by others and redistribute it to causes they think will win them the most votes, may believe that the wealth redistribution will actually lower the temperature of the planet.
There is no evidence, scientific or otherwise, that this will happen. The only certainty is that billions will be ripped off by bankers and other middle men before the remainder arrives in the Third World to be looted by a line-up of dictators and tyrants.

It is a fine day, and God is obviously in his heaven.
I am standing on the helicopter deck of the famous science-drilling ship JOIDES Resolution. The snow-capped mountains of South Island, New Zealand, glisten gently along the far western horizon. A majestic rolling, royal blue swell strokes the sides of the ship. Its origins lie deep in the Southern Ocean, and its crests are ruffled into a maze of small waves, ripples and white patches of gently breaking foam by today’s northeasterly breeze.

Someone told me about this video, but I had to see it myself… which I finally did this morning. It’s the opening video for the Copenhagen Climate Change Circus.
If you want to understand how psychologically aberrant the individuals behind this movement are – how gullible and dangerous – this video is a must (albeit painful) watch.
The parallels with the end time evangelicals who believe Armageddon is right around the corner is eerie. But with one important difference: the EEEs don’t have a seat at the table with the world’s politicians, a seat they are using to make over the world to suit their Luddite aspirations.
Since this whole topic of manmade global warming refuses to go quietly into the night, and because the consequences of trying to “fix” it by redistributing wealth are so dire, I’ll weigh in with what I hope is a useful perspective.
